Why I’m Launching Head West (And What It Means for The Bloom Bar)

For over a decade, our design company The Bloom Bar has been one of the biggest parts of my life. What started as a floral business grew into years of weddings, installations, activations, long nights, incredible clients, and a community that supported me through every season of growth.

The Bloom Bar gave me opportunities I could have never imagined — from large-scale corporate events and luxury weddings to creative collaborations across Texas. It helped shape not only my business, but who I am as a designer and entrepreneur.

And it’s not going anywhere.

But over the last few years, something shifted.

As life changed, my priorities changed too. My husband and I built a life rooted more deeply in the countryside of Central Texas — closer to Round Top, ranch life, slower mornings, meaningful gatherings, and the kind of hospitality that feels personal instead of performative. I found myself craving work that reflected that feeling too.

Not necessarily smaller dreams. Just more intentional ones.

That’s where Head West was born.

Why the Change?

The truth is, I’ve evolved creatively.

While The Bloom Bar became known for colorful installations, activations, and large-scale experiences, I started feeling pulled toward a different aesthetic and pace — one that felt more grounded, refined, heritage-inspired, and deeply connected to place.

Head West represents that evolution.

It’s inspired by:

  • Texas landscapes

  • Historic halls and ranch gatherings

  • Editorial western style

  • Thoughtful entertaining

  • Intimate weddings

  • Floral design with a softer, more collected point of view

  • Community and hospitality

Head West isn’t a “rebrand” in the traditional sense. It’s more like a natural next chapter.

So What Happens to The Bloom Bar?

The Bloom Bar will continue focusing primarily on:

  • Corporate events

  • Brand activations

  • Installations

  • Austin-area creative projects

  • Large experiential floral moments

Head West will focus more on:

  • Weddings

  • Private events

  • Event styling and design

  • Floral design

  • Concierge-style event support

  • Round Top and rural Central Texas celebrations

The two brands will coexist intentionally, each serving a different kind of client experience.

Why “Head West”?

The name feels personal in every way.

It reflects my family name, but also a direction — a movement toward home, toward simplicity, toward gathering well, toward building a business and life that feel aligned with this season.

It also speaks to the spirit of the places that inspire me most:
Round Top, old dance halls, ranch roads, heirloom pieces, layered textures, and celebrations that feel timeless instead of trendy.

Head West is less about “events” and more about creating atmosphere — spaces that feel warm, effortless, and deeply lived in.

What You Can Expect

The heart behind my work has not changed.

I still care deeply about:

  • Beautiful floral design

  • Meaningful guest experiences

  • Strong vendor relationships

  • Thoughtful details

  • Making clients feel taken care of

But Head West allows me to create from a place that feels more connected to who I am now — both creatively and personally.

I’m incredibly grateful for every client, planner, venue, collaborator, and friend who has supported The Bloom Bar over the years. Truly. None of this exists without you.

And I’m very excited for what comes next.

Welcome to Head West.
